Research Agency Council (RA Council) performs the role of the advisory board of the Minister of Education for the area of the RIS3 Implementation.
RA Council coordinates science and research with links to practical needs.
RA Council is a collective body, which is composed of the Chairman, Vice Chairman, sixteen members of the board (public and private), permanent observers and ad hoc experts. Chairman, Deputy Chairman and board members have a voting right. Permanent observers and ad hoc experts do not vote.
Presidency of the Council consists of a Chairman and one Vice-Chairman. The Council is chaired by Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the SR. Vice-Chairman is the Minister of Economy.
RA Council is under the Statute and Rules of Procedure opinion on:
- contents, timing and call for proposals schedule resource, theses content of call for proposals developed by the Managing authority along the lines that allows the OP Research and Innovation, or rules for implementing ESIF,
- contents, timing and resource implementation and content of the intervention of other instruments, programmes implemented by the Research Agency and the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic (hereinafter referred to as "MESRS of the SR") contributing to the meeting objectives in the framework document Through the knowledge to prosperity – Strategy of research and innovation for smart specialization of the Slovak Republic, approved by the Government Resolution no. 665/2013, dated 13 November 2013 (hereinafter referred to as "RIS3") and other activities of the Research Agency.
